This sweet iron material is said to promote salivation. However, from our experience and that of our riders, the German silver made bits achieve this more.

Sweet iron will lose its blue and become abrasive with constant use. 

Great curve in the snaffle section. This shaped curve removes a lot of the "nutcracker" effect in most snaffle mouthpieces.
